My Music Mood
I am hearing "The Best of John Adorney" CD now. It's really fantastic, never regret of buying it (even though it means that I have to hungry a lot for this month).
My neighbour keeps hearing music from the Phantom of the Opera. I think is the movie version, or maybe the opera version (which I never heard before), but certainly not the Sarah Brightman version. Well, I have a comment for him, "Hey, please don't play the music so loud with your lousy speaker, it makes me hate Phantom". I don't think this is being rude, because his speaker is just too lousy (laptop build-in speaker).
I watched Phantom of the Opera movie last last Sunday. The starting the movie is about an auction, and the main theme came in when the guy introduce the broken chandelier, which was supposed to be the chandelier from the Opera House. Just as they hung up the chandelier, came in was the most famous chord of Phantom of the Opera. When the chord of organ blasted out, I felt wanted to cry, because it was just so amazing. At that time, I was just so proud of my speaker.
And then Yoke Khee introduced me Jon Schmidt. The All of Me is very good, I like it (I can't use the word "love", because I think that love is only meaningful after a long time). I went to his website, and click on the "Sound Click". Then I felt that, other than All of Me, his other musics are quite boring. This boring is not in term of musicality, I think is because of instrumentation. I think George Winston's musics are boring because of the same reason. What I think is that, using purely piano, if the music rhythm or melody is fairly normal, then I will feel bored.
So I decided to put another piano solo music, from Yanni. I don't think anyone who loves music doesn't know Yanni, because he is just so famous.
Until the Last Moment. A lot of strings accompaniment, while piano sings the melody. This song is fairly long, but I think I love "River flows in You" more. River flows in You is very short if compare to Until the Last Moment, but still, I think it gives me the most wonderful moments.
In Yoke Khee's page, I said that John Adorney's is quite similar to Jon Schmidt. That is because they all carry some same sense of smoothness. But after I heard some musics from Jon Schmidt, I felt that they are still not the same. Sorry Yoke Khee, I have to say that I soon lost interest in Jon Schmidt, I don't know why. Maybe the only music of his that can attract me is All of Me. Just like Yiruma, only River flows in You can attract me, I will feel damn boring if I hear his other musics.
I still think that John Adorney is the best musician.
