Esplanade, the Third Trip
I was writing this post when I was watching yoke khee's video. Then, Firefox crashed. So, it means that I have to write again (and relink the photos as well)...
OK, there was a concert from Xinhui's band at Esplanade. Sorry Xinhui, I have forgotten your band's name.
The really good thing about this concert is that, it was free. Edna asked me yesterday whether I will go or not, so I decided to meet her there.
So, I was at the usual bus stop at 2pm.
The bus I wanted to take, but too bad, it was at the opposite direction.
My dear bus, where are you?
At the MRT station, I saw this "NTU Alumni Club". Then I started to wonder, is there any "NUS Alumni Club" that looks as nice as this one.
I reached at the City Hall station at 2.30pm. Not so late.
I messaged Edna and Daniel. Edna said she was still around Toa Payoh. Daniel didn't even bother to reply me (he told me just now that he was purposely not replying me because he wanted to let me spend some time with Edna... what a good guy man...)
So, I just walked into the HMV. Suddenly, just so suddenly, I decided to buy John Adorney's CD. There are two CD of him there, and now I have owned both of them. Well, at that time, I just felt like, "I don't care, I must have it, even if I have to hungry for a month!"
And this is the CD I bought today.
When Edna reached there, the door was almost closed. Lucky enough, we managed to get in, but is at the highest floor, the Circle 3.
This is the outside of Circle 3.
Well, I think there is no big difference between stalls and circle 3. The volume is just the same. The different thing maybe is that, at circle 3, you can't really see the face of musicians clearly (just because the stage is too far).
The performance is quite good. At first, I thought I heard some strange out-of-tune things, but it just disappeared after some time. So, I think I was just not used to the resonance at the circle 3.
The songs today were all from animations. 3 songs from Japanese animation, and 4 from Disney Animation. I can't remember the 3 from Japanese (because I can't even get the name), and the four Disney were Prince of Egypt, Beauty and the Beast, the Incredibles (Is this from Disney?) and Little Mermaid.
Quite an enjoyable concert. Except that quite a lot of kids are around us. At one moment, one child even cried so loudly that the concert have to pause for the parent to take out the kid. For a free concert, I just didn't feel bad about those noise.
Edna saw Qicai after the first song. He was late. Indeed, we all were almost late; if not, we will not be at Circle 3.
The Merlion at the background.
After the concert, we (Edna) decided to go eat cake at Secret Recipe.
This is Edna. I didn't edit this photo, but it looks so blurry artistic.
And Qicai. I asked him to pretend as a tourist.
This is the place we ate our cake. Secret Recipe at Marina Square.
Welcome the beautiful young lady, Edna. My cousin saw this photo accidentally just now, and she said that Edna looked pretty. My response is, "Hah?" OK lah, maybe Edna is pretty (Edna deny that), but, I never thought of this before, don't know why.
Edna took out her camera and started capturing photos. So, I decided to follow her.
Qicai and Edna. They looked like a pair of happy couple. Hehe... My cousin keep asking me whether they are couple or not, and I don't know how to answer. What will you answer if you were me? Well, you can't really tell for sure that they are or not "couples"...
Edna's cake (Apple something).
Qicai's Chocolate Banana (or banana chocolate).
My Cocoa Mocha.
Our resit for the cakes. WoW, I can have two full dinner with the prize of my cocoa mocha.
After that, they two went home (the same MRT line), and I went to find my cousin. That's why my cousin saw the photo of Edna.
p/s: the third time I watched concert at Esplanade in this month!!! I love Esplanade!!!!!
