The Conservatory Orchestra begins the 2008/2009 season with a blaze of brass favourites showcasing trumpet artist faculty Laurence Gargan and William Theis with two great works by Antonio Vivaldi and American minimalist composer, John Adams. The orchestra also welcomes back the charismatic award-winning T’ang Quartet in Elgar’s virtuosic composition for strings. Other highlights include the triumphant Brahm’s second symphony and Richard Strauss’ Mondscheinmusik from Capriccio.
