Firenze 1
Firenze (Florence) is the last place in Italy that I toured with the main group.
All Italian cities we went to, are full of artistic elements. Among them, Firenze is simply the most artistic. You will know more if you follow my post.
We alight from the bus here.
It's actually a train station (or maybe terminal).
12:34, Penny's favourite time (though his is at midnight).
Grand Hotel Majesty, not a place for students like me.
A church under construction.
Some unhappy incident happened. ZheGuang said that a old poor-looking lady tried to snatch something off him bag, and when he looked back, the lady just smiled and walked away. They said that the lady actually followed us quite a distance.
Old street.
Basilica di San Lorenzo di Firenze, one of the largest churche
We paid 2.50Euro to get inside, and I can't remember how the interior was already. Felt much wasted.
Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, the duomo of Firenze.
Remember this doom, as it will appear many times later.
Continue the journey.
Some kind of Town Hall building.
The entrance. Have to pay to get inside.
Life statue who earns money by posing with tourists.
And they looked really professional, just like real statue if they didn't move.
There were a lot of these commercial paintings.
String trio.
Artist who was drawing.
There was a story about the river. Lovers will come to this river, tie themselves by a chain and a lock, then throw the key into the river. In this way, their love can last forever. In reality, the Firenze government will fine those who throw key into the river. Then we went into rebate, that whether long-lasting love weigh more or 50Euro.
We spent our time walking around the area, some shopped for souvenirs, others like me just blindly toured around.
And it's finally the time to send the main group off.
Now, it's time for our own (the extension group).
Figuring the direction that we were supposed to head.
After a long and healthy walk (Qicai said it's healthy, because he actually brought us the wrong way, so we had to walk almost twice the distance needed), we finally reached at the hostel.
Hostel Archi Rossi. They even have a website.
Artistic interior.
From our room, we can see the girls, whose room was two storey below.
After settled down our stuffs, we went to watch sunset at the river I mentioned.
We met another group of tourists.
After some time, I started to feel bored, so I played with effects in my camera.
Solarize.
Negative.
Sepia.
Solarize.
No effect.
Walking back.
We were discussing how much we would need to stay in here.
And finally, we were back to the hostel.
The beers we bought, in the end we can't finish them all.
They were playing "Bang", a card game.
While watching them, I fall asleep quite soon, because of the liquor.
Thus, the first day at Firenze ended.
