Singapore Mint
When I first heard of Singapore Mint, I thought it was some place where selling mints.
Of course I was wrong. It is a place to make money. In chinese, is 造币厂.
The reason I went there is because of the flag thing. We had to escort those money we collected in flag day and send to the Singapore Mint.
All of these are money (coins), not any other cheap things you can think.
I was on the lorry, with another guy.
I have to say that stepping on money is some feeling quite hard to explain. Won't have much chances like this, so I did enjoy my steps.
When the coins were stacked.
There was something like museum at the Singapore Mint, showing mostly about money things.
The toilet there was damn special.
This was just a wall painting, with the 顺利.
Then we saw these. SGD1000 and SGD10000 are big amounts, and the 1000 has real cash value.
Never seen the SGD100 before.
Some facts about coins. The heaviest is 12kg, and the smallest is only 3mm in diameter. Power!
A stone money available on Yap Island around Pacific Ocean. We were doubting, "is this money enough to buy a Lamborghini?", as the Lamborghini shop is just beside the Singapore Mint. One of guys suggested that we grab this stone and go to the shop, then throw at the shopkeeper there and run with a Lambo.
