Host Family
I sure miss Italy, especially my host family, whom I stay with for 9 days.
I shared a host with Xianwei and Joel.
Though most of them don't know how to speak English, and we don't know how to speak Italian, we still can have some simple conversation, with the help of hand and dictionary.
Their cat, forgot what name.
The youngest and smallest member of the family, Sabrina.
Sabrina with her father, Piero.
Piero and his wife, Paola. Standing on the left is Paola's mother.
Sabrina and her sister, Lisa.
Sabrina playing with the cat.
Paola's father, Mario.
One thing to mention, their family name is actually in front, and given name behind. Like Terruzi Mario and Terruzi Paola.
The room we stayed in was very warm and comfortable. The feeling was just like living in a very good hotel, with natural air conditioner.
The host family really treated us well. Everyday they will put some new water bottle on the table. They washed our laundry every few days, and they supplied us new set of towels (3 towels of different sizes in one set) every 3 days, that means they changed the towels every 3 days.
The right one is my bed.
The table and window. This was still first day, so you can't see many water bottles here. The window was quite special. The holes on the window can actually be covered by pulling a strap beside, so you can control how the air outside flows in.
Their toilet.
At the day I left (which is one day earlier than Xianwei and Joel), we received a present from the host, wrapping nicely with a nice looking paper.
It's a very musical-like paper.
And these were the presents, a DVD of our performance (which we already bought), and a pack of chocolates (which were very nice).
They were so nice to us. Missed them so much ever since I left them.
