Yesterday, we have rehearsed Star Wars Trilogy, No Shadow of Turning and Second Suite.

Second Suite was still ok, No Shadow of Turning is quite hard for me, and Star Wars is totally unplayable.

Cloud told me that I am not possible to play oboe for Da Capo, because I will need time to learn oboe and the really hard repertoire. So, I will be playing flute, while learning oboe on my own.

Then I suddenly find playing for Da Capo is very difficult for me. The main reason is of course because of the repertoire itself. Beside that, flute section is exploding, just like many other sections. Have to keep volume low, while playing those super high notes, really torturing. And then, because I still have to learn oboe, keep changing from one embouchure to another is not that easy. Of course, I will be willing to do so, but sometimes I just can't shift that fast. Sometimes, I just can't concentrate. One last problem, is that my new room is not like my previous room, that I can't practice in the new room.

I have thought about not playing for Da Capo. If like that, I can just concentrate on practicing oboe. But I know that can be tough also. If I am not playing, of course I can't borrow the oboe. And there is a big chance that new oboe players are joining. If like that, I won't even have a chance to practice oboe any more.

So, the problem is, should I play for Da Capo?

And I know the answer, that others will give me, will be yes.
