Awakening

Awakening is the name of one of John Adorney's albums.



I bought it some days ago. When I tried it, I didn't feel good.

That's something wrong with my audio set. I can hear loud noise from my Altec Lansing FX6021 speakers. That wasn't something impressive.

Then I tried all ways I can think of, to find out the problem. I think I have realised the problem. The problem was at my Creative Xmod.

Maybe the power supply wasn't strong enough. Maybe because it was old. When I switched to the on-board sound card, the noise just disappeared. But the nice sounds also disappeared together with the noise.

Then I had to make a choice. Good tone with loud noise, or lousy tone with no noise. The latter won.

A good way to encounter lousy tone is to turn up the volume. That's what I did.



And to be truth, without Xmod, the oboe sounds sucks...
