John Adorney

Edna's wishlist made me wanted to write down a wishlist too. But, I don't want to just write as point form, so I will write down it as a new post.

The most thing I wanted now maybe is a CD. A CD that is from John Adorney, a not-so-famous new age artist. I doubt that anyone will hear of him except me.

How I knew this artist was totally an accident. Some day ago my father by one CD that is from him and played it on his car. Then I was really admired by the colourful sense in the CD.

Actually I have already bought 1 cd of him from the HMV.

The first sticker says, "2 for $28.95."

It cost me $16.95. Never regret for it. NEVER!

This album is just so wonderful. Its wonderfulness is just beyond any other musician's work. By "other musician", I mean those very famous like Yanni and Kevin Kern. If you do NOT even know these two, then we have no common point to discuss about. And, I am comparing with New Age artist. There is no point discuss between Beethoven and John Adorney, simply because they are like from different world of music.

I have searched about John Adorney in the web. Then I found out in amazed that the album that my father bought is actually mostly compiled and played by himself. He played the cello, the piano, the guitar and even percussion. How amazing is this.

Maybe just because almost all of the instruments are played by the composer, all the pieces just sounded so harmonic. He knows exactly what the feeling of the instruments at each moment. And I just love to hear his feeling.

Enough for introducing him. Let's say about my wish. I want to buy a CD of John Adorney when I am going to Esplanade this saturday. There is a HMV there near the City Hall MRT station, and it is my target. Well, it is still a wish, because I have to really pray hard for finding his album there, because big probability that I can't it find there. Even at the biggest HMV at Orchard Road, I can just find 1 CD. And because there was just 1 CD, I spent only $16.95, not $28.95.

Well, I really hope that I have spent $28.95. His album is just something that makes me want to spent more.
